According to the News, the CNA has moved a step closer towards improving the health of the elderly and aging population in Canada, through its digital campaign for the home care and community based care givers and the home care agencies across Canada, with an interactive website to demonstrate how aging affects us  and to draw attention to the gaps in senior Home cares as the elections draw closer. The campaign tagged  Health Is Where the Home Is and  the objectives set out for the purpose of this campaign are:
  1. Establish common standards for home care across Canada
  2. Provide more support to family caregivers
  3. Improve community- and home-based health promotion
It is said that 14% of Canadians are 65 years or older and as more are aging there is an expected increase of the number by year 2036.

“CNA and Canadians are using the platform provided by the federal election campaign to share solutions with our federal leaders on how they can implement meaningful improvements for seniors health,” said CNA president Karima Velji. “Our recommendations are grounded in the evidence and best practices that guide registered nurses and nurse practitioners. But we’re also turning up the volume on Canadians’ voices to demonstrate that aging affects us all.”-Source: CNA website
