Global Handwashing Day- Evaluating the Nursing Impact

Hand washing is one of the oldest procedures known to be held in high esteem by nurses all over the world. It is said that through proper Hand washing techniques, a lot could be achieved for the patient, it is believed that through hand washing cross-infection and nosocomial infections could be reduced in hospital.

"Hand washing as simple as it may sound is one major step and event each individual must perform on daily basis to stay up healthy for a while" . In the hospital settings however, Nurses are they main architect of this area of practice due to the nature of their practices.

This year's Global Handwashing Day is widely celebrated and discussed in various forums and social medias , hence we want to take a look at the Nurses impact on the Hand washing campaign.

An updated 2015 Social Media Toolkit has been developed by  The Global Public-Private Partnership for Handwashing to promote Hand washing in various sectors. Below is more about the tool in which one can use to promote Handwashing and make a difference in the lives of millions around the world.
