CauseTech-“Succeed Where There’s a Need,” innovation platform

Thought you would be interested in joining CauseTech, a global cause-directed, social innovation campaign in partnership with UNICEF. Dubbed “Succeed Where There’s a Need,” the campaign promotes social entrepreneurship and aims to aggregate the world’s best and brightest IT professionals, technologists, product developers, researchers, entrepreneurs, academics and post-graduate students in a global open innovation ecosystem. The aim is tap collective thinking and input to identify, adapt and deploy inventive technology solutions that can help UNICEF scale its efforts to meet the ever-growing needs of the poorest and most vulnerable and excluded children across 190 countries. This includes health, drinking water, renewable energy, food security, hygiene, education, communication, and self-sufficiency.

A dedicated community site (CauseTech.Net), powered by innovation platform leader Ideascale, will enable participants to share, vote and discuss refinements to “inspirations that overcome limitations.” CauseTech.Net will register and profile contributors and run crowdsourcing contests and challenges developed by UNICEF Innovation Labs located in 12 countries. A complete view of the "Succeed Where There is a Need" campaign can be sourced from http://www.causetech.net

Using the tagline, “Your Brilliance Can Make a Difference,” the campaign will also involve the CMO Council, Business Performance Innovation (BPI) Network, C-Suite Network, and the Global Renewable Energy & Environmental Network (GREEN) as partners. Here is a link to the announcement press release (http://causetech.net/about/media-center).
