Nurses Urgently Needed at Ebola Treatment Unit in Monrovia Liberia

This Blog post is as Originally Copied from Global Alliance For Nurses and Midwives (GANM)
Sending this on from colleague at IRC:
International Rescue Committee is establishing main Ebola treatment unit in Monrovia, Liberia. They are urgently recruiting staff for six week deployments (four weeks in the ETU plus training before) in October to continue for 6-9 months. In addition to supply chain and HR staff, we need mostly nurses and some doctors from directors to clinical coordinators to bedside staff, as well as environmental health staff and psychologists. Ideally all would be experienced in strict infection control situations such as cholera treatment centers, but open to others. Medical coordinators (MD position) should have epidemiology experience.  Please spread the word.
The situation in Liberia and Sierra Leone is dire. There are simply not enough staff to operate facilities without external assistance. We have a great team on the ground in Liberia who have been focusing all their efforts on Ebola control since the epidemic started and other programs have been suspended. They need more support. We will be starting interviews ASAP.
